Scare and run

Okay, so I was just walking with Peanut last night and there was an adorable little pooch walking up to Peanut. It was a neighbor's dog, but it wasn't on leash(big no-no... especially at night) and as the pooch got closer, she snapped. I was going to pick up peanut as fast as I could, but Peanut got so scared of the dog that he pulled so hard that I felt like he was going to drag me but instead, he pulled his collar off and I chased him. He was a race car. He was so fast, but the good news is that... he ran home. No, he didn't sprint into the bushes. No, he didn't sprint under a parked car. He ran directly home without a second thought. He just waited at the door all nervous and anxious for me to open the door. Lesson: use a harness. I just can't believe he ran home.... he must love me that much to run home :D))) I would be heart-broken if he were gone. I Peanut so much and it was a relief to know he didn't run away, but he still gets scared whenever I walk by the place where he saw the dog. Oh Peanut...

Shaved butt and more!

I apologize for my very foul updating.*changing subject* Peanut's butox was getting really furry so I shaved it!....and it's growing back....

BEFORE

NOW
I use the furminator and other grooming tools all the time and he's still shedding like crazy. I'm surprised he's not bald. (Hee hee)

I took a picture of Peanut being the baddest to the bone while he was eating(and snarling), but then I corrected him

How can you resist this?

Peanut is a continuous wobbler

(Randow picture of Peanut being Peanut)

I love his little smiles when he's on my stomach

It rained! Peanut is just barking and awooing

A walk just to enjoy the water in between his toes

Peanut got back!

Look at his looooongness

Peanut took my hair scrunchie that is now his new toy and he's just getting mad at me because I'm trying to take it from him.

balcony time!

The world it longer than you, Peanut

My cattle man is always looking for something to bark at

My camera sucks sometimes, but I didn't want to use flash because that would  give him the pet eye
AND I also bought... A SAUSAGE ROPE TOY!!! I found it at target and what's better than a sausage rope toy?! :D)))   (triple chin!)

I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY WITH PEANUT'S NUB HOPE THAT I GET MORE THINGS TO BLOG ABOUT! There's nothing better than sharing a piece of Peanut with the corgi nation!

Towel toy!

I was actually going to make a sock ball, but I had no extra socks to use. So, I had some extra small towels and I had nothing else to do with them so I made a toy! I cut out a squeaker from one of Peanut's useless toys and rolled it with a towel and folded it again with another towel and sewed it together in a pillow form. I added a bow, thinking Peanut wouldn't do anything, but...

He took it off first. Here's the finished piece!

The thing that reeeeeeeeally attracted Peanut was the squeaker! It took me and hour to make it because the string kept on tangling and ugh. But, I got through it! You can make this. It's really quite simple. If you need help or whatnot then either ask by emailing or commenting.

Must destroy!

No takey awayey!

I found path... must sniff

Delaying

Good news!! I found out there was a corgi in my apartment complex and it lives right around the corner! I've seen it walk around quite a few times, but I never have enough time to put everything together and go outside to say hi. I hope to see it soon!!! I've heard from the owner that he/she's bigger than Peanut.... WHAT?! That means he/she's longer than Peanut.  And about the grapes, I took a half-hour walk with Peanut and his crap was..... should I even mention? Well it was soft.
If it's diarrhea then vet! Going to the pool with Peanut!

Not Good... at all

Today, right now, Peanut ate a grape or two. I gave the command "drop it," but it was too late. He ate it. I made some research and a little amount can make him ill. Oh no. He ate frozen grapes that I accidentally spilled and you know about his obsession of fruit. It's not only bad for his health but for his special diet! grrrrrrrrrr. I am worried!

Peanut Break Dancing!!!

After taking Peanut a bath, he tries drying as fast as he can by doing what I call "break dancing".  I took a video of this unique routine!!!

Bite me, I must be dreaming

OH NO! OH NO NO NON ONONONONONONONONONONON NO! Do you know what this season is?! FLEA SEASON!! *dun dun dun!* Fleas are my enimies!! Fleas are pretty bad here, in Texas. And the worst part is that because of all of Peanut's forest of hair, I can't tell what the heck there is in there. It's not that he needs a trim, but the undercoat drives me nuts!!!

Good News!

I have been searching for a nice pet-friendly condo that hopefully will be beach-front! I am still going for that goal of running on the beach with Peanut and letting him herd all those seagulls. I've been running a mile or two with Peanut almost every day to get him more muscular than chubby and it works! He's lost about two or three pounds once I got him that tough exercise for those little endurance-filled legs of his. I haven't posted much at all lately because me and Peanut have been moving so you know how that goes. Peanut has gotten a little stubborn, (not good news) but it just seems like he has hit that teen age where he starts having his own ways. It's strange because corgis are not stubborn or bossy, but I guess that's just 'nut. This kind little corgi is not what he seems to be...

" THROW THE FREAKIN' BALL MOM!"

He forces me to play with him and he has just changed so much!

The Heat

It's getting hot over here in Texas and it's only spring! So I chilled Peanut off with some dog bone-shaped ice cubes. Me and Peanut are moving so I don't know how to handle the heat better than this! It's hitting the 90's (degrees) and It's killing us! This calls for some major grooming, but not a shave(it will only make him hotter-temperature wise). I wish it were winter again! Anybody selling things to beat the heat for dogs?

Shedding Season

Well, every season is shedding season for Peanut, but it's going crazy right now. The solution was to buy the Furminator and the Kong Zoom Groom. Who wants to have fur everywhere? Not me. And all the good grooming shines his coat. If you would like to buy a Furminator and/or a Kong Zoom Groom online then here's the link!

Furminator: http://www.amazon.com/FURminator-Long-Hair-deShedding-Large/dp/B0040QQ07C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1303063731&sr=8-2

Kong Zoom Groom: http://www.amazon.com/KONG-ZoomGroom-Dog-Grooming-Boysenberry/dp/B0002AR19Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1303063913&sr=1-1

You can also buy them at a pet supplies store. When you're using the Furminator, make sure the skin is not wrinkled because the brush is a blade and can cut. If the blade chips then throw it away! And last of all, make sure not to groom in the same spot over and over and over again because you may remove too much hair or irritate their skin. If you irritate their skin then put 'em in the bath and wash with dog oatmeal shampoo/conditioner. If you buy the Zoom Groom then buy another one when the comb bristles are running low(the comb is like an eraser).

Now your canine won't drive you crazy. It's either a groom or fur in your food ;)

Lemons!

I was on the computer eating a lemon(weird right?) and Peanut wanted to have a taste of them-I could very much tell- for the first time so he stole it as fast as any corgi's reflex. And lemons are SO out of his diet plan (you know, his UTI) and I was chasing him down for ten minutes and I finally got him down, but then he started growling. "Bad boy, Peanut!" So, I tried getting a hold of it and he turned his head to the left and turned his head to the right, just which ever way my hand was going so I wouldn't take it until I decided to take his long little body and calmly open his maw and take that fruit out. Oh Peanut...

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????

Okay, I went to the vet to get Peanut's worm check up and preventions and I weighed him and he was 24 POUNDS! From 19.5 to 24 lbs! The front desk peeps said he was over weight by 2 pounds.... wait, aren't corgis supposed to be at the most, 27 pounds? I guess it was his size and/or age because they considered him a small dog even though corgis are MEDIUM dogs. Ugh. He is a year old and he is fully grown so I don't get that. Any answers to this?

Nubs are the new style

You know how a teen's style is skinny jeans, tight shirts, and flats? And do you know how big, fake glasses are in style also? Well, same with nubs. Don't you ever get tired of seeing a tail wag every day - just plain dog(unless its a cardigan!). I seriously think that nubs are so fun to stare at because they still move even though they are docked tails! Those little nubbins come in ALL sizes from puny, small, medium, long, and extra long. How awesome is that??! And they don't sweep your drink off the coffee table! *GASP!* And those fluffy ones!!!!    Those drive me nuts! Thank goodness for corgis..... to be continued....

- I'm still trying to fix my camera!

Symbolizing Your Corgi

What symbolizes your corgi? For Peanut, a hot dog or a peanut butter jar would do it.

What a corgi fears

Every corgi has a fear. It could be a stranger, a grocery bag, an instrument, an animal, a writing utensil, you name it! Well, Peanut is afraid of writing utensils because every time he sniffs them, they always poke his nose. Yeah, corgis are supposed to be tough nubs, but they also have a brittle side. Peanut tries to be tough and he thinks that he is some how stronger than me(which in some cases he is as when we are playing tug-of-war and he gets really mad.) Peanut thinks everything that looks strange is something to overreact about - that's just him. What about your corgi?

Friday, February 25, 2011

Awooooooh!

Peanut has been "AWOOOOOOHing" more and  more often. And not to mention..... more protective.

As I only wish to be able to upload pictures, my retarded camera changed some sort of setting some how for the upload process and it screwed up so now there won't be any pictures of my nub anymore until I find a nice and long lasting camera that doesn't work like crap. (I even checked the manual!) This sucks. I even thought of uploading a video of Peanut "AWOOOOOOHing" at a squirrel that was out the window.

Have I told you about Peanut's strong muscles? They are VERY strong. I mean his thunder thighs are rock. Every time I try playing chase with him and I catch him, he just pulls his way out of my hands.

I wish I could show you Peanut's long hair. He needs a trim. His butt is the source of hair infestation. It falls EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I learned to love it and I know that Peanut will always be with me everywhere I go - hair-wise.

Smile like your corgi! :D

OMG! SNOW!

It hasn't snowed here in San Antonio, Texas in 20 years or something like that. I woke up in the morning and SNOW! It only snowed about half an inch, but it was fun! Though, I was isolated because there was ice on the roads so I couldn't go anywhere. My house sadly doesn't allow dogs(long story) so I had to place Peanut on the deck and because we couldn't go to the park, there was not a lot to do :(. I took some pics, but Peanut was cold!

                                          ^Peanut Paw print! ^
^ this is my favorite picture besides all the ones that involve Peanut in it

My fingers were frozen and Peanutter slept a lot. I think he is hibernating. CORGIS!

Yup

Yup, I've gone silent again well, because I have had a REALLY BAD cold and it has been making me tired so I have to just push myself to go up the stairs and type all this. You know what? Peanut has gotten a little plumper and a little heavier. He never gained weight with all that crap I used to give him, but now it seems that he has.

Before

After

Can you see the difference? Forget about the zoom in thing, but what I zoomed in for is the belly. Can you see the belly starting to round up and chunk up? This is the new and improved Peanut... I just hope he doesn't get any fatter...

I'm back with something to say for the first time in a while...

Well first of all, I still can't find the laser that Peanut jacked up. And I also bought him some toys for the heck of it.

(for the pic above) He's more interested than he looks!!!!!

There is always one question I ask myself every day. And that question is "What is my favorite part of Peanut or corgis?"

Seriously, what is your favorite part of your nub or just corgis?????

Sunday, January 9, 2011

I cannot believe you, Peanut

I tried hiding the laser at night and wow... Peanut found it. It's not only that he found it, he also did something dangerous with it... he destroyed it! I know this is serious and I should have known, but he didn't destroy and dangerous part of the laser. He only bit off a 1cm length hole in the laser and he didn't eat it. I would have shown a picture but I kinda forgot where I put it. It still works, but I still am going to dispose it. Yikes!

WOAH!

I almost forgot about the blog, but either way, there is nothing yet to blog about to see you later!

My little nub has changed

Because of Peanut's illness, he hasn't done a lot of movement so far. I understand that he is in pain. He's getting closer and closer to his normal health every day so I am sure that he will be fine. How's your corgi doing???

Monday, January 3, 2011

He ended up with...

I came to pick him up and he just squirmed and kicked and pushed just to get out of the vet's arms and run to me and his nub went CRAZY! I soon figured that he ended up with urinary tract infection or whatever you call it and he had crystals in his bladder and that is what caused him to urinate blood and sometimes he even had trouble "going". And the worst part is the diet. His diet only allows a specific dog food that is for that infection and carrots :( That means NO PEANUT BUTTER, apples, bananas, yogurt, dog treats, OATMEAL(Peanut goes so crazy for it), rawhide bones, and just anything but his dog food and carrots. Poor 'nut. In a month, I am going to take a trip to the vet and I'll see if the illness is over. Hope it's gone soon!!!!!!

Forgot about new years, but....

I forgot to post about new years, but hold that for a second. Peanut is at the animal hospital. The vets told me that they will have to run through tests and x-rays and etc. to see what he has. The reason he is at the hospital is for a weird reason. I took him to his potty pads because it was about to rain and he urinated blood twice in a very short period of time. I got the keys and headed for the animal hospital and he urinated blood there, too. I am about to pick him up once the vets call and I'll post about that when I come back. I am worried!
